Optimizers Efficiency

Drying your clothes may be costing you more than you realize. If your dryer vent system isn’t functioning properly, or if it is clogged with excess lint or debris, you could be spending extra on utilities with every cycle.

Prevents a Dryer Fire

Cleaning your dryer vent once a year is highly recommended to protect your house from a dryer fire. 92% of fires involving washers and dryers are caused by dryers. These fires caused annual averages of 13 civilian deaths, 444 civilian injuries, and $238 million in direct property damage. The number one reason dryer fires start is failure to clean dryer vent lines, and dryer lint is the most common source of ignition. The risk of fire is equal in gas-fueled dryers and electric dryers, and lint buildup even occurs in energy-efficient dryers as well.

Increases Clothing Life

An obstructed or clogged dryer vent can cause a buildup of heat in the dryer, which can then do damage to or ruin clothing. Excessive wear to clothing may also be caused by needing to run longer drying cycles to compensate for poor dryer performance caused by blockages in the dryer vent line. Over time, whether as a result of excessive heat or longer cycle times, clothing fibers can break apart or fray more quickly than if heat were properly expelled from the dryer and clothes were dried in the minimum or normal amount of time.
